Jason C., Lead Coordinator Jason has been in the nonprofit sector for more than four years. He believes that volunteers are capable of so much more than just planning social venues and contributing sporadic hours that amount to no measurable changes. He makes it his mission to identify dedicated volunteers who can fuse innovative ideas with effective community programmings. He was raised in Taiwan and journeys back every year to visit his grandmothers. |

Chris B., Coordinator One summer day a few years ago, Chris walked away from his dull job in the financial sector to travel the world. As someone who spent his college spring breaks volunteering in random communities across the country (Vanceburg, KY, anyone?), the clichéd backpacking jaunt around Europe was not fulfilling enough. Chris then spent a couple of months as a volunteer teacher in Kenya, and then as a full-time ESL teacher in Korea. Chris recently came crawling home to a job in the financial sector, but plans on efficiently using his free time around motivated individuals and innovative ideas that benefit society. |

Jenny C., Coordinator Jenny is a UMass Boston undergraduate student who wanted to spend her free time to create a better world. Being a Biology major and growing up in a ethnically uniform environment, she wanted to have a way to stay in touch with her cultural background as well as give back to the community. As she sees it, volunteering is not free labor but an opportunity to have a direct impact in society. Volunteering has not only allowed her take part in promoting the Asian American community, but has also allowed her to learn more about herself as well her ancestry. |

Jen D., Coordinator Jen D. graduated from UT Austin and moved to Boston in the fall of 2010. She has been volunteering for various causes and projects since high school and college. Her most memorable volunteering experience was a relief trip that took place in 2008 to assist in a New Orleans neighborhood that, at the time, still endured the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. That single trip solidified her belief that there is always an extra hand needed in community projects and she is always enthusiastic to contribute! These days, Jen works mostly in the environmental sector but also contributes to local community projects in health, education, and youth development. |

Dan O., Coordinator Dan is an aspiring, young business professional who has been tremendously impacted by the effects of globalization – both at a personal and professional level. During his time at Bentley University, he studied global markets and developed a strong interest in East-Asian culture. He then “drank the kool-aid” and fell in love with China; after studies and work abroad, Dan settled back into Boston and has decided to give back to the local communities by promoting social and cultural tolerance and raising awareness of important political issues under the Asian-American context. He continues to study mandarin and dreams that one day our world will live“一天下” and embrace common humanity. |
